Framelet
Framelet is a portable Windows screen recorder that captures visible desktop regions as GIF or PNG through a native frame, a command-line interface, or MCP stdio tools.
Who it is for
Developers and AI agents recording interface behavior, producing short demos, or reviewing frames at specific timestamps.
What you can do
- Record a region and stop, pause, or resume a session.
- Inspect a GIF by playback timestamp and export selected PNG frames.
- Trim GIF recordings through the CLI or MCP.
Get started
Download a portable release, open framelet.exe, or follow the CLI and MCP setup documentation. Check the release notes for stable and preview versions.
Before you use it
Requires an interactive Windows x64 desktop. Recording uses visible pixels, so overlapping windows can appear. Direct MP4 and audio capture are not implemented.
